Soap stumbles Ghost: "Should you be walking around yet?*" *A/N: Hypocrite Soap goes and grabs his hand Soap: "Don't ever fucking do that to me again. I'm never letting you leave without me at your six again" Ghost: "Some serious conviction there, Sergeant" Soap: "I'd say this is pretty serious, yea" He places a ring box on Ghost's stomach Ghost: "..." Ghost: "You read the letter, I take it?" Soap: "yea.." Ghost: "Not really how I wanted this to go but.. I guess it's best that you gave it back now while I'm still on pain meds. Small mercy, that." Soap: "Give it back?! That's the one I bought the day you shipped out, Si" Soap pulls out his dog tags - there is a ring attached to the chain Soap: "I'm keeping this one." Ghost: ! He opens the box - There are some photographs of Ghost and Soap, a little toy plane, old drawing and notes given to him by Soap, a glass container with bullet remains labelled "Soap, MX", a letter and a small ring box with a note attached The note reads: "We found this on his kit at his last known location. I'm so sorry, John. -Kate" Soap: "Simon.." He opens the letter Soap: "Fuck-" "Johnny, I thought this would eventually get easier but I never had much reason to write sentimental shit like this before you. Hopefully this will be just like last time and you never even have to read this drivel but I figured if I cark it before I finally grow the balls to ask then I should probably explain. The receipt should be somewhere in here in case you wanna return it - do me a favor and don't look at the date on that thing, yea? I wasn't making any grand plans, if that's what you were thinking, I just.. didn't know how to ask. I'm no good with words, I'm sure you remember. Still, I'd have liked to have married you. Your sisters keep sending me venue ideas, I haven't even told them I was gonna propose. Nuts, the whole lot of you. You're sleeping 6 feet away from me and I already miss you. How fucked is that? Didn't think I could crave that anymore. I ship out in 4 hours, gonna be weird not having you with me.
