Another progressive Kannadiga right here, and I suspect a big part of it is just high levels of educational attainment at a societal level, not just individually, in the south Indian states! Coupled with an early awareness of inequality and racism even in India bc of the North / South Indian divide!

Very jealous that you got to work with him. I work with some awesome people right now, including some who would be legends if they weren’t aggressively low-key and private, but Ed Thorp just seems like another level altogether
