Ja als het misgaat kun je in Duitsland echt alle kanten op. Misschien is dat omdat ik het meer gewend ben maar bij storingen zit ik liever in Duitsland dan in Frankrijk of Spanje

Aah great. Interrail didn’t work on any ticket gates. For the long distance trains you could get a ticket at the ticket office for free that will work for you. Cercanias you can maybe get a rente&tu card that can open a gate once. Just be prepared for some waiting

Yea I did that last year. Mainly FEVE lines in the north, beautiful region, with some nice “normal” routes around there. Already got plans on where you will go?

Have you found anything about Spanish trains comprehensible? Good fun to ride though, great views, pretty friendly staff (if there is any)

Had the same last year, some were free with seats, some were paid with seats and some were free without seats. Should be all good
