With Kess dismantled and largely converted into Veyran, and (at the time) Taigam using my Dimir cards, that left the Rakdos portion of my former Kess deck without a home. This changed when Juri, Master of the Revue came out. Now I still have and play Juri quite often. 17/18

Truth be told, I don't really remember what cards I had in my Kess deck back then. It didn't leave much of an impression. When Veyran, Voice of Duality was previewed I immediately jumped ship to that Commander who was much more to my liking for a spellslinger deck. 16/18

However, I had fooled myself into thinking the descendant of "loop/reanimate Gary" could be anything other than "loop/reanimate Kokusho (or Keiga)". 15/18

I bring Raff up though becauuse more recently, for a brief time I had Renari & Scion of Halaster put together. This deck was the sequel to Raff and Taigam. It was about flashing in and reanimating dragons. 14/18

Unrelated to Inalla, I also had my Raff Capashen deck which was all about flashing in very large creatures (dinosaurs, eldrazri, etc.) and that deck was dismantled eventually as well. 13/18

Of the 3 decks that were Inalla's direct descendants, Taigam survived the longest. However it ran into a little problem of turning into a "loop & reanimate Gary a bunch" deck, which there isn't anything wrong with, but it was just not what I wanted out of this deck. 12/18

The one that had the shortest lifespan was Marchesa the Black Rose, which while I do think is a very cool commander also happened to share about a third of her deck with Inalla and at the time I decided I wasn't going to keep both of them, so Marchesa had to go. 11/18

The problem with this deck was that is was slow, and very vulnerable. It was very hit or miss about whether it was able to "do the thing". The wincon of this deck was to win through a wide board of wizard tokens or burn damage through cards like Basalt Ravager or Prophetic Titan copies. 6/18

So, with needing to make some changes to Inalla herself, I first went the typical route of making her into a combo deck. I used Wanderwine Prophets and Bloodline Necromancer loops to go infinite. This was however not very much to my liking. 3/18

When I started playing Commander in 2019 it was with the 2017 Arcane Wizardry precon. At this time, precons were less focused, more deliberately made to be upgraded than played out of the box. 1/18
