i think this is a fair position but i tend to err on the side of be more aggressive if you dont trust your offense. if you cant trust them to move the ball, try to score while you're in the rare position to do so. i'm just annoyed with people flaming the decision to go. it was fair to kick or go!

so many people are saying "there was a storm coming and you had your backup QB in" and i'm like yeah that's why they should have gone for it. if they converted it and scored a TD they would have won the game instead of sending it to OT. stop judging process by results people!

i argue that with that defense, storm approaching, and your backup QB in, you go for the TD while you have a good chance. if they converted it they would have won the game

i remember a play where trey mcbride got flagged for taunting after he got a first down and did a super standard first down celebration where he like pointed forwards. but there happened to be a guy on the other team in front of him so they called taunting. deeply unserious penalty

saying they *just* needed better ball protection is an oversimplification. they needed their overall offense to be competent, which putting your backup QB in in a nightmare situation is more than likely not how that happens. even when your defense is playing that well, the dam will break eventually
