Footballers taking penalty kicks are sometimes sacrificing the best shots to prioritise their credibility, suggests an award-winning study co-authored by James Reade @jjreade.bsky.social.

Very much looking forward to giving this paper at ROSES on February 7th. The talk will be recorded and posted on YouTube.

This will be focused entirely on the gender wage gap in the WNBA!

And, fwiw, I recognise I could be wrong! I know I'm not on the losses, but perhaps Tamworth don't care about touts.

I was very wrong about the prospect we might get a new owner, let alone one better than the last one, as bad as he was. I'm very pleased I was wrong on that, too!
jjreade.bsky.social
Let's agree to differ? I believe touting to be an issue that matters here and would mean significant revenues going to touts rather than a tiny, loss-making NL club.

You don't, and that's fine.

We can both at least agree that it would be nice if ticket prices were lower?
jjreade.bsky.social
I'm not saying it's impossible.

What I'm saying is that despite technology it remains an issue. So I suspect it's not that easy to solve.

And it's certainly not going to be National League Tamworth that solve it for a one off cup match.
