Japan is a good case study in how a rich country can become poor. It seems impossible because the world around us seems so permanent and secure. We have just as much saved in yen in the bank and earn just as much at our safe job. So how does it happen? A thread. 1/4

All this right wing hysteria about LGBTQ+ people “grooming“ children and committing sex crimes. When ostensibly straight men are by far the biggest sex crime offenders by an extremely wide margin. Men who pass as straight are much greater threats to your kid than a drag queen.

It’s crazy this isn’t already the case, but there needs to be a legal precedent that if you kill somebody by choking them so that they can’t intake oxygen, you are guilty of murder.
