And can Geoff please just pay some great comedian to host these? He has zero charisma, and things like the Ms Piggy song come across self serving and tone deaf (TGA lets us down constantly) and Geoff’s frequent “I know these guys/we’re pals/I played this before y’all even saw it” are super cringy.

I just got the Fire Beam (or whatever it’s called). And little things annoy me but the moment to moment stuff is mostly fun. I’m disappointed that it won’t be in my best games of 2025 list though. The first for a Metroid game for me.

And add all the “This feels like the first time I played Final Fantasy or Zelda” feels and wonder, and it completely won me over.

For me the story hit in a way that many haven’t for me recently. A lot of games deal with grief and loss, but few (if any) in my memory deal with grief and loss the way Clair Obscure does. And since my health situation has brought us A LOT of grief, it just hit extra hard.

Yeah it was the absolute worst. And Mr. Charisma himself playing it up like it was Bloodborne 2 or something...geez dude come on. Most boring final reveal ever.

The only Prime game I finished was 1. I played a bunch of MP2 and 3 so I don’t even remember the design shift from 1. All I knew is that I loved 1. So far though (I just got the bike) I really like it. I just need to accept (and enjoy) that they made something more linear with the “dungeons”.

I’m having to get over that. I would love a single, interconnected world. But that’s not what they made and I can deal with that.

And having someone like that as an adult? Absolutely priceless. I feel like we’re often conditioned to just suck it up, or we should know how to do this by now. But I often feel like a scared 10 year old who just wants a parent to help me (I just turned 51).
