Add in some of what we've got from kenobi and andor on how the wealthy during the time were super cool with the empire forming and how the now legends books like the rots novel, showed the rampant bigotry of the emperor and his ilk to non humans. Yeah it's definitely on point

Yep, between Sofia, vic, oz, we saw what people who saw family as a positive ended up as, I also think this was a way to show that there is no justification for Oz. Most of his actions you could try and make a case for being justified in some sense but the man is a monster
