As a teacher, I'm struck by the lack of a simple follow-up question: "And what evidence do you have to support your claim?" We ask students this question every day, but adults get a pass? No wonder we've turned into such a dumb society.

The #GOP doesn't care about education. Their primary (often stated) position is "We love the uneducated." Free lunch? They don't support that either. They are pro-life until the birth, and they they are happy to torture, incarcerate, and even kill. They are not the conservatives of yesteryear.

While I can appreciate the resignations for ethical, moral, and legal reasons, doesn't this now enable the administration to appoint more unqualified ethically and morally-compromised sycophants?
