“Where they’d be welcome from the states and the residents with open arms”

Assuming they met certain *ahem* criteria.

But realistically it would be a few short years before some madmen was screaming “they’re eating the dogs! They’re eating the cats!” And Julia would nod vigorously in agreement.

Dropped the ball or carried the ball Trump wanted her to carry?

Grok not answering is better for the public than grok answering.

One thing that always irritated me in the various series was that they would make a high risk move, often on principle, but the risk almost always paid off, especially the very high risks like this one. A principled risk is the right thing because of principle, not because it works out.

I don’t think Elon Musk is reading this the way you’d hoped.

The key to interpreting history is to trace back threads of causation until you find the person you want to blame and then stop. It’s all their fault.

If you have to build an AI to tell people you’re not a pedo, then you might be a pedo.

I’m unsure which Biden voters you’re referring to? The renters who think they’re going to get more screwed or the homeowners who think Trump screws up everything, so this means housing prices are going to fall? Both?

You say that you "just call balls and strikes". Good umpires do that while using the same strike zone for each side. Stop cheating the strike zone.

ICE actions in MN aren't actions of people who see themselves as enforcing the law. They are the actions of people who see themselves as righteous (albeit masked) warriors in the great crusade to return this country to being a "white 'christian' nation", laws be damned.
January 29, 2026 at 9:34 PM
Judging from Trump and administration figures public statements, they see ICE in MN as far more than "law enforcement". They see it as "punishing MN" as fighting against those "evil people" and the "very low IQ" immigrants. Part of the war against "great replacement".
January 29, 2026 at 9:34 PM
I and, I think, most of the protestors in Minnesota see a grave difference between "immigration enforcement" and what ICE is doing.
January 29, 2026 at 9:34 PM
Ryan, was your phrasing how the sides see themselves (protesters see a reasonable thing as tyranny, ICE see a reasonable thing as a reasonable thing) bad wording or are you revealing how you see the sides?

Glad to see that he’s accepted that Tesla isn’t S3XY anymore.

When he says no party with objectivity believes the government, he’s accurate but missing the point. The divide in America isn’t between those he see depravity and those who don’t. It’s between those who oppose it and those who support it.

“Lower prices” guy seems embarrassed by his sign.

It needs to be stronger than that. They need to acknowledge that they knowingly and willing embraced evil, that they made the US and the world a worse place for generations to come and vow to not vote for Trump or any of his allies ever again.
