Philly’s passing game was pretty good when he was pass game coordinator

So shouldn't their weighted be better than their total?

No they’re not using the line at all. We are to judge whether the assumptions he may have been making were reasonable
January 26, 2026 at 10:33 PM
How are you not getting this. You're not using the line to make a decision. But any decision made should factor in reasonable guesses for how the game may play out. If we're judging how reasonable those guesses were, looking at the line is a good way to check those assumptions.

2) the assumption is not that they'll score that many points because Vegas says they will. It's using Vegas as a proxy for what's a reasonable assumption of how many points may have been needed at that point to win the game (which once again, should be a relevant factor for coaches)

1) having an estimate on how many yards you expect a RB to have over the game shouldn't impact your run/pass decisions at all. Whereas having an estimate of how many points you need should impact how agressive a coach should be in going for points.

No it's not treating either like a target that will be hit. Lines are only even expected to be the median so half the time it should be below and half the time it should be above.

I think you have 2 misunderstandings here

Objectively, not even the best QB to start for the Browns this year
January 26, 2026 at 7:43 PM
The total being in the 30s isn't arguing to go for it because the total says you're due for a TD. The argument is you should expect to need to score a certain # of points in order to win and therefore when you have a good oppurunity you should try to get 7 instead of settling for 3
January 26, 2026 at 7:39 PM
But that's still not what accurate. Saying we expect the RB to gain 50 more yards this game doesn't mean you should expect him to gain 15 yards on this play (or any play)
January 26, 2026 at 7:36 PM
Because saying an RB should get 50 more yards this game is different from saying an RB should get 50 yards on this play

It would be 4 1sts in 2027 (Jets, Steelers, Colts, Cowboys). And I agree this would be a great draft for the Jets

Dozens!

I’m with you. There are so many ambiguous was this a catch calls in the NFL and this was not one of them

I thought his response was reasonable and kinda funny but I’m a big supporter of people curating their own feeds for what’s best for themselves

Why don't they put him in?
December 28, 2025 at 8:19 PM
Lakers, Rams, Dodgers, Kings?
December 16, 2025 at 1:30 PM
But has he been?
November 30, 2025 at 8:57 PM
It was an article about Judge. That doesn’t mean that defense wasn’t considered in who to select as POY. (They even made reference to the August injury preventing him from adding more value in the field which would imply that it was something they thought about)
October 6, 2025 at 11:22 PM
Why do you assume it's not?

Always love reading these. Thank you!
September 29, 2025 at 3:03 PM
I see you don't have Kittle in the standalone tier. I assume that's because of the injury and not saying this is where you'll have him when he's back?
September 20, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Thanks!

Fascinating. Can you link the article?
