Melt 4 Tbsp of butter in the serving dish. Make a batter with a cup of flour, cup of sugar, tsp baking powder, a cup milk and a tsp of almond abstract. Pour over the butter. Poke in 3 cups of cherries; add sliced almonds on the top. Bake 50 min at 350 deg.
