I would like to make one with chicken, broccoli, and cheese, but lack both broccoli and the correct cheese, so it will have to wait.

There were times, especially in the second and third season, when the whole thing with Hannibal wore thin for me, but every single thing in that show was exactly what all of them wanted it to be, and I respect that.

They knew what they were doing and went for it.

This lasted about 1 minute before she slid down into my lap to get a proper nap.

She just needed to make a point, I guess.

After almost a week of fear and no snuggles, Sonata has demanded snuggles no less than three times today.

Including just now, while I was lounging sideways across my chair, and she jumped up by my knees, stomped up onto my chest, and flopped over while purring like an engine.

purring and desperately pawing at me to get to me to hand over the cheese.

That I don't have.

(I also once backed a Kickstarter campaign for pride pins specifically because the asexual pride pin was an archaeopterace, and I NEEDED that pin.)

Phase?

(Also, I worked in a natural history museum in college, and they had a real archaeopteryx fossil on display, and I loved to go visit it when I could.)

I love them both so much, I can't even tell you.

She came back for more snuggles! 💗

She had to leave pretty quickly, though, because Laszlo was romping around playing with HER eyeball toy, and she was scandalized.

Day three, for most of the day she could try to settle in my lap, and she managed a couple of short naps.

Yesterday, she finally settled down in my lap for hours, but still no snuggle time.

At last, this evening, she gave it a try.

I'm so proud of my cowardly little baby.

Prompts can really help! And it's fun to work around that extra challenge.

I did have a dog once who had a muffin spot in the neighbor's yard she checked everyday for the rest of her life.

If I stand in the butter spot now, Sonata will yell at me and tap my leg.
