J-List is an anime / hentai shop founded at the dawn of the Internet. Follow us, and let's talk about anime related topics!
I will look into another option. One problem is the company I use for posting has a "no 18+" policy so I can't ask for support from them.

When did we all wake up living in Saudi Arabia?

Many fandoms, like anime, cosplay, finance, etc are thriving over there. And Twitter (and Bluesky) are the only things keeping us from living in a hellish "Zuckerbird" (as my wife always calls him) world of "censor yourself or the account you spent year working on is toast."

It is "bad" on Twitter, though not like everyone here necessarily thinks it is. If you only check posts by people you follow and never look at the For You tab, or follow famous people who want to harm you, or open yourself up to Russian manipulators, it's way better.

Yes, plus each platform has its own character. Everyone says "oh noes Twitter is all Nazis" but that's just confirmation bias. Many groups, like anitwitter and cosplaytwitter and fintwitter, are all fine and very positive.

There are fewer people thirsty to repost anime pantsu here, is part of it

I get that. I also think we have to face the fact that boycotting or cancelling people we don't like doesn't lead to good outcomes, e.g. the 2024 election. Not sure what could have been done differently...

Just asking if you mean my automating my? I do post via a scheduling app, because I am a human and I live in Japan, which sleeps when the rest of the world is awake. I know I didn't put in any special kind of effort here other than my normal "horny anime tweeting."
January 7, 2026 at 4:32 AM
Honestly with five people hearting my posts and maybe one repost here or there, the juice is not worth the squeeze. I can do much better on Twitter as long as find the right MP4 or Nami's jiggling breasts.

So they have an AI slop problem now? I guess I understand. As long as it's marked it should be fine IMO

Desho? Tons of anime about changing genders and the comedy that ensues, causign people to feel positive about the concept. My theory is that someone at FB assumed any "otokonoko" was basically representing a "trap" negative sentiment, which is not the case at all.

Too late for J-List though.

I will still be here and post my blog links, but my 20+ posts a day of anime panties can't be done if I can't get the posting system restored. It broke when we got banned. I can't ask the company for support since "you know what" is banned by them. Fucking shit world we ended up with...
December 30, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Is that going to happen though? It's a nice social media platform but the energy seems to be fading, not increasing.
December 30, 2025 at 1:24 PM
If I can get our posting system fixed I might start posting again. But in general Twitter is the only safe place to post our sexy anime memes
December 30, 2025 at 1:23 PM
Thanks. My problem is almost no RTing. Obviously if I am posting anime boobs and a person doesn't want ot share that, it's reasonable not to.
December 30, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Yes, and calmly explaining in to them once they turned on the AI algos was impossible. As was explaining that no, otokonoko is not an anti-trans thing, but a pro-trans thing that brought all anime fans together with humor and dank memes. But one of their staff made up their mind and nuked my account

The thing is, I need to have a single bullhorn, but I believe Mastodon is organized into smaller servers where people might or might not be? It kind of kills any energy I could build up.

Here's one of the images Facebook banned. Clearly any anime meme referencing any age in any way is CP, right? That's how insane Facebook (and Instagram) has become.

Bluesky is way cooler, of course, being okay with anime boobs and panties. So I'm not casting shade on this platform for that.

I wrote about the challenges of basically doing battle with AI bots every day in my post explaining why we stepped away from our 1.5 million Facebook page. FB went from humans giving 30 day bans, which allowed us to learn and avoid problems, to AI-algos banning long-held accounts with no reason.
Leaving Facebook! Why Is J-List “Graduating” from the Platform?
For years, J-List ran one of the largest anime pages on Facebook. But anime content is no longer safe there, so J-List is leaving Facebook. Find out why in this blog post!

Obviously they have to have standards and that's fine. But it feels to me like Bluesky will be just another platform I have to self-censor myself, discarding interesting memes or clips because the platform "might not understand," is just too much. I did that for years with Facebook and it sucked.
December 30, 2025 at 6:22 AM
Part of the problem is that Bluesky took down a few of my images as not being platform-okay. Bluesky support said they were banning any drawings or painting that an average person would consider to be a child, or sexualized nudity.
