I am 70 years old (2025), 25 pounds overweight, diabetic, and balding. I thought I should let people know, so they don't get any funny ideas. I am an artist, cat-lover, avid reader, baker, and I've been known to do hand crafts.
I'm currently baking a variant of crustless quiche which is a supper quiche.
6 eggs, 3 oz sausage, 4 oz cheddar, 4 oz mushroom, 2 oz olives, 1/2 c onion, 1&1/4 c evaporated milk. Chop as necessary, butter quiche pan, layer solids with cheese on top, pour liquid over, bake at 400 degrees 30 minutes.

I'm experimenting with making French bread. I haven't made this style bread before, so I know I could screw it up. Especially since I'm using yeast with a best by date in March of this year. I want to have fresh bread for a dinner we're hosting on Saturday. Also, vegetarian quiche is on the menu.

1950 AD/CE, Margaret Chase Smith: “I do not want to see the Republican party ride to political victory on the Four Horsemen of Calumny—Fear, Ignorance, Bigotry, and Smear.”
The four horsemen; FIBS.

Much of the political news that I've been reading makes me think that the U.S. would be very much better off if DJT were dead.
While I would not cheer if he were assassinated, I would be wonderfully relieved.

Here's my opinion and analogy of the Trump administration.
The President of the United States is supposed to do something like maintenance on a car with the running of the government.
Trump has shredded the tires, pulled out the upholstery and taken a tire iron to the windshield and headlights.

I've been reading Connie Willis's posts on FB.
What keeps coming to mind about the "deportation" of folks without recourse to the judicial system is that this isn't so much deportation as "EX-portation." Especially the folks sent to prisons in foreign countries.
