In a nutshell: the dice represent two causes for an outcome. Each roll (of two dice) represents the observed values for one individual in the data set. rules are introduced dictating which rolls can be written down (ie. recruiting high risk patients only defined as specific values).

I keep telling @pwgtennant.bsky.social he needs to write up this exercise as a tutorial / educational corner article ;) Maybe this will give him that necessary nudge!
