Is it possible that the super availability of mass produced low cost clothing had an impact? More local garment makers and domestically-created clothing means it was the economical (or only) option?

As an aside, this isn't a position on whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes you're forced to choose between "bad" and "worse". I think it's fairly clever. Nothing is as it seems.

No, it literally uses them everywhere. You can check the output for yourself. I think they’ve added special passes at the end to purposefully insert these sentinel values to make it easier to detect generated content. Maybe it’s something they’re even doing for anti-cheating purposes.

Yeah. Quotes is probably the weakest of all these signals. If you put U+1680 Ogham Space Mark between a number and the percentage sign, though… sketch. 😅 New game: insert weird Unicode everywhere into one’s typical usage patterns to trick people into thinking you’re a “user”. 😆
