Reading this nice piece by @douglewin.bsky.social yesterday brought into focus for me an idea I've been groping toward: the green vortex is not just a domestic but also an international phenomenon.

Reading this nice piece by @douglewin.bsky.social yesterday brought into focus for me an idea I've been groping toward: the green vortex is not just a domestic but also an international phenomenon.
I don't want to be overly optimistic, but the news out of Texas yesterday suggests that the political theory of the IRA may have been right after all.

This weekend I'm finding myself thinking about how, on climate (but not just climate), Trump is tearing the house to the ground, and how what we saw in Congress this week fits into that broader picture.
