I think you’re failing to distinguish between a lineup (teams try dozens of them) and a starting lineup. I never said I wanted Naz to start or that he should be a backup 3. There should be lineups where he is the 3.

It doesn’t take a genius to infer that 3 bigs might not work against a track team.

We’re probably not far apart. I just think most people who are willing to name what’s happening “fascism” are also aware that racism is a problem. I think we all need to be in lockstep even if our rank orderings of various oppression differ slightly. I prefer a Popular Front strategy over KPD v. SPD

There is a tradition that goes back to Trotsky that views fascism as just an extreme form of capitalism and ordinary capitalism as just a nascent form of fascism—I agree that’s wrong.

there’s also a socialist tradition of anti-racism that goes back further than liberal anti-racism in this country.

I do not think that those are people likely to be people engaged in resistance against fascism, which is what this conversation is about.

I think there’s also a view among mainstream liberals today that anyone coming from a Marxist perspective doesn’t take racism seriously.

I didn’t read the whole thread. So maybe what you’re reacting to is further up.

But on my interpretation fascists + “the wealth class enablers” doesn’t scream ignorance of racism and sexism.

You’ll be hard pressed to find people opposed to fascism who don’t take racism and sexism seriously
