For that money, PMI distributes (per its '23 report) 37M nets to protect children from mosquitos, 100M rapid tests to diagnose them when they get sick, & 63M drugs to cure them. Malaria's long history shows us what will happen next if we don't quickly restart funding for these life-saving tools.

It's now been about one month since the US President's Malaria Initiative was "paused" for review, halting long-standing, bipartisan malaria funding of $800M annually: a lot of money, but relatively speaking also only the advertising budget for one Super Bowl (go Eagles) variety.com/2025/tv/news...
