The sky was doing some cool layering. Ferry included to represent my hope for new ferries in the not distant future

Well, I remain a big ol' video game nerd. And yes I love meandering debates around game tiers. Thanks @heathercampbell.bsky.social @mattapodaca.bsky.social

It's exciting to see so many people here! Bear with me for follow backs, I'm trying to limit online time. Finding the pace and tone of Gilead to be a balm at the moment.

A cute cat for the timeline. Her consistency is a comfort in these times.

Book talk 📚! The Overstory centred the language of trees and compels rethinking timelines from a more ecological POV in a very meaningful way. I liked some of the (human) characters. A couple of them were not particularly instrumental or clearly motivated. Overall, worth a go.

Two things I really like about this book:
1. Compelling analysis of the limitations of professional class environmentalism and reliance on the "knowledge will generate political change" approach.
2. Clear and grounded discussion of how the environmental crisis is linked to working class interests.

Since this app is now fully open it seems like a good time to share some important cat content.

Usually I see a lot of empty seats on the other side of the pitch, yesterday's Whitecaps crowd was a swell change of pace! (Yes the upper bowl is cropped out. Baby steps).

I love all the layers and textures in this album. The lyrics are right in the front of the mix, but there is a lot of fascinating guitar and synth work. Don't go pushing wishes in my head is my fav but there is a lot to like here!

Pretty much the best shot of a stellar's jay I can get with a camera phone. Love these birds.

I probably won't have a lot of great content for this but my cats are cute.
