Difficult to accurately suggest without knowing your tastes, but what I’d suggest to everyone is Wingspan and Akropolis. Engine building and then tile placement. Both are a couple of my favorites.

This one always intrigued me but I could never get past the rolling of meeples. It ruined it for me even though I never tried it. Is that not awkward?

Such a fun game. My group wasn’t a fan of the pricing aspect of the first player and decided instead to move all rooms to the right with new rooms occupying the more expensive positions. So much better for us.
