She lacked in several critical areas.
•Not white
•Female
•Laughed & displayed emotions & compassion for others.
We cannot tolerate those things in our country's leaders. Not sure what you're confused by.
We prefer leaders that 💩 themselves and don't understand magnets or groceries.

Loved this issue as a kid!
It followed a common trope of a bad guy who discovers Batman's (or any superhero for that matter) secret & meeting a tragic, untimely end.
Similar uses of this could result in the villain slipping into a coma, getting amnesia, mental breakdown, etc
