I consists see it in my work; I’ve experienced it myself: Leaders can’t expect people to fully care about the work unless they feel cared about as a person and not just a function.

I saw (and briefly chatted with) this widow tending & talking to her husband’s grave in a Palm Springs cemetery.
Made me think of my mom who does the same thing with her late husband.
I will never forget the simultaneous love & grief I witnessed in this moment.
