I opened X today, after many months away, because I wanted to see what someone wrote on a specific account. Man, that “place” is crazy. People are out of their minds. It’s completely an attack-at-all-costs, lie-about-everything online crazy culture. Never again.

Wow! Pope Leo XIV: the first ever US-born (& naturalized citizen of Peru), who has spent most of his time outside of the US, and has a social justice thread in his work, and has an academic background (doctorate). How many are downloading his dissertation right now?

May Pope Francis rest in peace. May we remember and emulate his actions in embodying Christ’s message:
“I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.” John 13:34 #PopeFrancis

A couple of interesting books. I’ve been a Marisha Pessl fan since her first book. This one drew me in quickly, made me read it. A friend recommended Matthew Wolf’s book(s) and I went through this one quickly too (a good thing; I don’t finish if it’s uninteresting). #Readersky #Booksky

I need grammar check for social media. I make too many thumb-typing-on-a-small-device mistakes. “Edit before you’ve said it.”

Don’t fall prey to medical advice from someone who does not believe in, nor support, medical research. Measles is not new. For goodness sake, if you aren’t vaccinated, or your children aren’t, get the shots.
What to Know About Measles and Vaccines | Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
Experts worry that misinformation and falling vaccination rates could cause measles outbreaks to become more common in the U.S.

Kudos to whoever got Nick Offerman to do the #Oscars announcements. I’m also enjoying Conan as the host.

Good Lord, I can’t think. Eons of incremental, snail’s-pace societal progress, lost to the ether.

We are moving into a new building at work (a LONG time coming). We had a nice celebration today with a few of our favorites!
