There's a reason Elon bought this thing. It may not make money but it is truly the world's town square and with the right person in office, can be used to disseminate whatever message and control you want.

ESPN will broadcast the Super Bowl in 2027. They'll want their studio team to have some A-list recognizable NFL stars that your mom who watches games once in a while can recognize. Kelce is the only 1 who fits that category even though he's only above average as a commentator.

Andrew Marchand reports Fox is in the lead for Tomlin. He also reports ESPN wants a studio team for NFL games that matches the A-list roster they have in the booth (Buck/Aikman), Kelce and SVP are the only A-listers right now. Spears is heart of the team. Clark could be weak link.

His antics work better as a podcaster. It's too late now but he would be good for a late night recap show in podcast form after all the games are finished. Watching him at halftime of some of the tourney's biggest matchups is going to be such a dud.

I think Alexis has played a major role in helping to grow the game. But now that there's a bigger influx of avid soccer watchers in the US, analysis without the corny dramatics is what fans at home want to watch. He feels like he's forcing it. Doesn't feel natural.
