The last time I lived somewhere rural-ish I was fortunate in that it was a college town, so the buses were zero-fare thanks to the university supplementing the public funds normally allocated to the transit agency.

Was that on SAS? I remember flying them Copenhagen to Reykjavik and was shocked they didn’t even serve water for free on a 3 hour flight. Thankfully I had lounge access so I ate and drank before boarding, but I was so dried out by landing…

In America, pretzels.
But… Sometimes I fly Japan Airlines or ANA, in which case rice crackers are also an option. And Asiana Airlines will give you full size chocolate chip cookies. Those are good too.

Last time I flew Air Canada to Japan, they had them. Then they left a huge bag of them in the galley for you to grab as many as you wanted so I grabbed like 20 to share with co-workers once I got back to the office.

I had so much fun when I went in 2022 even if it didn't always feel like it in the moment, but then I took a job offer to go work in Japan... man, I wish I had the means to fly back for it but I still have my home con to go to.
