Anna Oehler and Tarang Mishra were undefeated in prelims and advanced to semifinals
Roy Rinehart and Jameson Balda went 4-2 in the preliminary rounds and performed incredibly in their elimination rounds, winning finals against Wake Forest. Jameson was top speaker and Roy was second!

In JV:
Maggie Matzen and Berkley Smith were undefeated in the preliminary rounds and advanced to semifinals. Berkley was 3rd speaker and Maggie was top speaker!

In the novice division:
Leon Lopez and Matt Gowel went 2-4 and had a great time!
Lucas Tiffany and Maria Pinto went 3-3!
Gia Kardos and Draic McConville went 2-4 and Gia was 10th speaker and Draic was 5th!

Special recognition to open debaters Jameson Balda and Tarang Mishra, who both had to end their tournament early when their partners were taken out by illness and immediately pivoted to helping out with less experienced debaters and supporting the rest of the team!

In novice, JMU KP had a great time at their first tournament, learned a ton about debate, and even won one of their rounds!

In JV, the hybrid team of Indiana/JMU MC (who met each other in person less than two hours before their first round) finished preliminary rounds with a 3-3 record and made it into the partial octafinals, losing on a 2-1 decision to Minnesota HB

In open, JMU CP finished the tournament with a 3-3 record, while both JMU BR and JMU MO had to pull out due to sickness.
