This study enhances understanding of the impact of health literacy on experiences of care. Improving patient-centred approaches tailored to individuals health literacy could improve perceptions of collaboration in the care of those with long-term conditions.

➡️ People with lower health literacy were more likely to report limited collaboration

- those with two or more physical conditions worked 8-10 months less
