Yeah can’t answer that. Just looked at the last 5 ish seasons and aside from one his teams performed better than expected table-wise compared with where they “should” (based on those around them in the table and their numbers). Just been too many season for me to say luck. Weird coach lol

For sure but I just find it odd that his teams still finish where they do considering their Gs/xG/xGD. Remember it being a consistent theme of his teams being outliers relative to their positions. Not sure if you watch baseball, but reminds me of how Tim Hudson was always an outlier with his numbers

As an aside, Emery’s teams seem to quite consistently outperform G/xG relative to league position (or at least that’s what I could tell when FBref was still useable). Any thoughts on this?
