The 2018 Farm Bill expired, the first time, on Sept. 30, 2023 and was extended for a year. So Dems AND the GOP have known FOR TWO YEARS that they needed to work on a new Farm Bill. Neither party saw any urgency in getting a new one done.

Nutrition titles make up over 70 percent of the Farm Bill policy and spending, farm programs are less than half of the "Farm" Bill. The current bill, the 2018 Farm Bill was extended once. That extension expired Sept. 30. Stabenow (Senate Ag Dems chair) just yesterday introduced a new Senate version.

Sorry, just found this in a search for Farm Bill to see if the convo had moved here. Yes, the Farm Bill is, indeed, in trouble. Project 2025 effectively ends the Farm Bill and cuts both the nutrition titles (SNAP, WIC, school nutrition, etc.) and the commodity titles to bare bones.

Rylance is physically the opposite of the descriptions (and paintings) of Cromwell but so much closer in behavior and mannerisms and emotions than James Frain (who played Cromwell in The Tudors). IMHO, that is.

I just did that. Hopefully for the last time this year (and with the ulterior motive of chopping and mulching the leaves vs. raking them)!
