2. Many introductory classes cover too much in too little time so that most of the contents are forgotten once the exam is over.

I learned about fascinating new tools and techniques for analyzing student code submissions and innovative and interactive course design for remote classes. I tried to add my two cents concerning the situation in my introductory physics classes for engineering students.

Im Rahmen der #publicclimateschool, einer Aktionswoche zu Klimaschutz und Nachhaltigkeit, habe ich am Dienstag in den letzten 15 Minuten meiner Vorlesung Physik für Ingenieursstudierende im 1. Semester diese Thematik aufgegriffen.

Den Eindruck zu den studentischen Meinungen kann ich unterstützen und habe das bei meinen Erstsemestern in der vergangenen Woche auch einmal aus Anlass einer entsprechenden Lerneinheit abgefragt. Anbei das Umfrageergebnis.

Ich hoffe, dass so sowohl etwas mehr Physik im Kopf bleibt als auch die Klimaproblematik in den Köpfen wach gehalten wird.

Da ein Teil der Ausstattung grundfinanziert war, musste #ichbinvictor sein Equipment in Ingolstadt lassen. Dort wurde es bei der Sanierung der Räumlichkeiten 13 Jahre später entsorgt.
