Christian. Politically center left and very concerned about our country. I'm likely to comment on political posts, all things football, books, and beautiful photography. More likely to comment than post.
I was wondering if that might be an issue. He might not be as known or flashy as Anderson, but the two of them together are spectacular. Thanks for answering my question! 🤩

It's appalling as you look back at the damage the spoils system, monopolies, and robber barons wrought. And the fact that so many people sit idly by as they roll back reforms that reduced those blows my mind.

@forbes.com, this should not be news on your site. Betting is not the secret to anyone's financial success except the platform where the bets are placed. Lending credibility to this abhorrent practice by even mentioning it is an embarrassment to the Forbes brand.

I'm guessing it was the segment from UC Berkeley saying they were using practices recognized as war crimes by the UN. There's some optics around the pretty blond-haired lady talking about their illegal actions. It's much easier to discount the testimony of the Human Rights Watch guy with an accent.

There's probably more than that who have left because of him, but that's not really the flex she thinks it is.

And you know there will be some white males filing for anytime they were passed over for a promotion or lost out on a job to someone who wasn't a white male. I hope that we live to see the day where every person in this administration has to deal with the consequences.

Wait. What year is this?? I shouldn't be old enough to have gone through this twice before. 😬

To clarify, this was 2007 under Chavez. I don't like Maduro, but we shouldn't overthrow the govt. That worked out so well last time. 🥴

I do think he believes the crap he spews. I'm guessing some oil exec told him they used to own oil fields in Venezuela and the govt seized them. And you know how he likes to help his oligarchy bros and will believe pretty much anything for 💰💰.

I would recommend that people just don't come here. With the horrible actions of ICE and the attitudes of the current administration towards how they view the rest of the world (including our allies), we don't deserve their tourism money.

Yoga pants and a hoodie yesterday for me! I don't care what he thinks about my clothes. I mind my business and am polite to every person I encounter. Thinking that what someone wears impacts who they are and how they behave is shallow and completely in line with every person in this administration.

I would love for Franklin's publisher to sue all of them for copyright infringement and brand harm. They need to stop thinking meme culture doesn't have real world implications. Maybe they can sue the AI company used to make the images while they're at it. And, yay, Canada!

I speak Spanish sometimes, although I'm not great at it. I also speak about 30 words in Arabic. I get some weird looks when the white lady switches between English, Spanish, and Arabic, and I love that my kids know that speaking multiple languages is an asset and absolutely normal. 🙂

It's more of a denominational thing tied to geography. Evangelical Christians overwhelmingly vote Republican, and large churches in the South tend to be Evangelical. I believe it is heretical to tie a political party to Christianity but there aren't many who feel like I do.
December 3, 2025 at 2:02 PM
I think there's this coupled with the idea that "real" Christians vote Republican. As a Christian, it's not true, but, sadly, I'm very much in the minority.

Are you going to do the recipe for sticky toffee pudding ice cream? I NEED that in my life. 🤩

I think it's a mix of too dumb to know better and too corrupt to care whether what he says is true. It's so ridiculous.

This is, unfortunately, my district. His brother ran for sheriff after Nehls was elected to the House and lost. It'll be harder bc of gerrymandering, but I'm hoping we can repeat that. 🤞

Why does CNN let this moron on tv. He shouldn't be given a platform.

It's very similar to the Gilded Age and I don't think most people realize that name was satirical. It did lead to reform, so I have hope for the future. It's just appalling that the majority chose to elect a man with so much greed and no care about the harm he's causing.

Thanks. We do have individuals who run against them, but they don't get much support. The candidate in 2024 was solid and I think she'll run again. The one in 2022 was a joke. No presence anywhere and barely held events. It was bad, particularly after how close the election was in 2020 (52-45).
November 30, 2025 at 5:20 PM
And his twin brother will likely get the nomination for this district. I love where I live but I do NOT love the political representation. 😠
