I know now he saw me as a ticket back to the life he lost. I was his property and he justified what he did to me as being okay because I wasn't his "real" daughter, just the child he'd helped raise from 2 to 13.

I've come to the conclusion he either went to Epstein's island at least once or knew enough about him to want an island of his own.
Power, money, influence, control. These drove my step-dad. His heartattack led to bankruptcy; he never financially recovered from that fall.

It escalated quickly into training, and when his job in the Isle of Mann fell through, we packed up and became nomadic for a while as he figured out what to do next. My mom, dad, grandmother, and I in two cars. We stayed in hotels in CA, NV, and AZ.
