The UK right wing is trying very hard to walk a tightrope between aligning themselves with the American right wing and knowing people here won't accept that fully yet. The focus right now is on attacking trans people and migrants, and the BBC's parroting the lies they tell instead of correcting them

Unfortunately we've had a very significant shift in our right wing - the Heritage foundation in the US is pouring a lot of money into certain bad actors, and it's looking increasingly like Russia is too, to platform them and their extreme views. It's having more of an effect than I hoped.
