There are so many disingenuous and inaccurate arguments here. Please take a breath and read what you're saying. People who have done virtually nothing have died or committed suicide due to extended incarnation. But you pick the one case that's an outlier the other way

It's weird dichotomy where they know their policies are toxic and hated but also have this weird belief they are actually popular and there's mass hidden support for their ideals. I think the backlash is larger and more vocal than Per Wee German expected

Very very few TV shows know how they will end when they start as they organically evolve throughout the series. Only very short mini-series types and Babylon 5 know how their show is ending.
