The turnover didn't seal the Bills fate. It was the two DPI's which were really sloppy.

The Bills also didn't play a perfect game outside that INT. Allen's fumble at the end of the 2nd which led to a DEN FG was a very costly, sloppy mistake.

If I was the Nobel committee, I'd strip her of the award and recognition after this.

What a way to ruin one of, if not the, most prestigious awards.

If Trump actually was what was said in the top text, he would have won the award legitimately!

Sox should have taken advantage of the last few free agency classes. They were really, really good for both pitchers and position players.

If they signed one big name recently, then they probably have more success and there may be more appetite to spend.

Interesting thing about financial flexibility. Extending younger players actually gives you less financial flexibility for the first few years because the players go from dirt cheap (500k-ish) to a few million in yearly salary.

Not advocating for the FO here, just found this interesting.

I just don't have faith that they will do the right things.

Maybe things will turn around, but I don't have faith in this ownership and FO to do what's necessary.

I hope they do though.

Last year was a let down. They had a great team, were projected by many to win the AL Pennant, and instead limped into the playoffs because they didn't add at the deadline.

Pitching pipeline is great, but the offense is now lacking. With all the young P, they should be able to splurge on FA.

It shouldn't have been a 10 year rebuild.

The wheels fell off because ownership refuses to spend.

They are grasping because ownership cares more about profits than winning baseball games.

I'm not judging them based on a single game. This is years of dubious decisions.

Why sign Bregman to that essentially one year deal, if they're not going to commit to winning that year nor extending/re-signing him. It turns a move that was good into a horrible one.
January 11, 2026 at 5:24 PM
This isn't the same ownership mentality that won those 4 world series titles.

You really gotta look at 2019 to present day. The fall of the Red Sox started with the firing of Dombrowski.
January 11, 2026 at 4:55 PM
The Red Sox gave up for Bregman:
- 40MM in salary
- 2nd round pick in 2025
- 500k IFA Money

This gave them 1 year of Bregman who is now with CHC.

In that year:
- Traded Devers for literally nothing.
- Did absolutely nothing at the trade deadline
- lost in WC to Yankees

Yeah. They're dumb.

Holding on to all 4 great OFs while there are massive roster holes elsewhere would be the dumbest timeline.

That's why it's the most likely outcome given this Red Sox front office.
January 11, 2026 at 3:03 PM
Given the past 6 years of Red Sox off-seasons, unless Tucker wants a pillow contract he's not going to the Sox.
January 11, 2026 at 3:01 PM
Yeah, break it down into as small steps as possible and check the work. Either read through the code, or find a way to test it.

I've used Copilot to help with the front end of a website I just run locally, and it's really easy to start the web server, click through the site and verify the behavior

At the time of the Bregman signing, I thought of a worst case scenario. This is literally it. Sox gave up the money, draft pick and IFA money for 1 year of Bregman. They ran Devers out of town. They have a good, not great season. Bregman leaves for nothing.

What a joke.

You're right. It is ridiculous and insane for one country to conduct a military strike in another and remove their leader.

So why is it ok when the US does it, but if it happened to the US it's ridiculous and insane?
January 10, 2026 at 8:54 PM
Let's flip the script. Hypothetical situation. Some other power - China - comes in and does the same exact thing in the US. They come in, have a military strike on US soil and kidnap Trump.

Can you be happy he's gone? Sure. But do the ends justify the means? Hell no. And people need to see that
January 10, 2026 at 5:53 PM
It makes sense if you have a hitter like Ortiz or JD, so present day someone like Schwarber, Ohtani, Alonso, Devers, etc.

But it doesn't make sense to have a guy like Yoshida as the full-time DH, that's a situation where it's better to get one of the 8 OF ABs.
January 10, 2026 at 1:08 AM
Look at Harper's 2025 stats. It's not elite. It's very good. 29th in the MLB by OPS+, and his numbers were pretty down compared to previous seasons. He did battle some injuries but still.
December 27, 2025 at 4:51 PM
It's because Breslow is just chasing pitchers with plus extension.

So I honestly wouldn't be shocked if they traded Witherspoon.
December 16, 2025 at 12:17 AM
Gotta find FSG's next business venture somehow. The Red Sox winning a championship is not a priority for them. They just want to get as much money out of them as possible.
December 15, 2025 at 4:37 PM
One of these is supposed to not be like the other lol.

How the Red Sox have fallen these past few years.
