The “they made me take down my posts critical of them platforming a Nazi but I won’t resign because that’s giving up space” line was just…my man, the space is ash. There’s nothing left to hold on to.

It is endlessly wild to me that, in 2025, so many Politics Knowers simply accept what is put in front of them. "Oh, we're talking about teenage trans girls playing sports, ok!"
Why? Why are we talking about that & not something else? Who decided we're talking about that, and why?

As someone who teaches community college students, they seem to know how to read just fine. They do, however, seem to struggle with connecting thoughts and ideas across long forms of writing, like essays or chapters. So it seems like a cross problem of timed standardized tests and attention spans.
