Goodness, UK really needs a Public Enquiry to identify those who knowingly lied to the public, the foreign actors who helped undermine the economic health of the country, and find ways for those who voted Brexit to recover their dignity.

If I was a toxic techbro fascist, it wouldn't take long to write a program to turn £1m worth of, say, Bitcoin, into 40k x £25 unverified "memberships" of a compliant political party that accepts crypto.

I agree with the broad point, but this is how I understand it as well - the policy is what they want, but the implementation was not.

Yes. It's the opposite of having Tommy Robinson outflank Farage on the right - it means Farage is normalised by the comparison (and an extensive media campaign).
