Deleting the Google app from the iOS devices from older relatives has taken the place of removing Windows toolbars 20 years ago. Surprising that Apple allows this since it degrades the whole device experience.

10-12 years is the new default. It used to be 5-7 but the "big winners" can't achieve liftoff in that time anymore
I don't like it either (check bio…) but the alternative seems to be acquihire at 2 yrs, low value acquisition at 4-5 yrs, or early IPO and immediately struggling / bought out.

Anyone else feel like AWS product names are becoming a lot like Amazon listings? Many different things under the same name and you need read carefully to understand what you're actually buying.
