Stats-wise, 10-4 South Uptown turned out at least 100
people to a very cramped room at Queermunity. Big Uncommitted presences for both City Council and Mayor, including me on principle. Frey had barely enough support to be viable were it not for one person that joined them (I think) as a favor.

I’m still a skeptic, but going to my precinct caucus tonight felt healing in a way. It puts 100 strangers in a room and subjects them with stupid procedures for 2 hours. And they still cared enough to stick around and make order out of chaos. As a social experiment, it tells me we’re going to be OK.

Here’s the thing about Uptown. It’s great. All the talk about it being dead is crap. Uptown clearly drank its milk because it has very strong bones. What Uptown needs more than anything are cheerleaders to talk about how great it is. A renaissance is coming, I’m calling it now.

There’s a condo for sale right across from Bryant Square Park and it’s making me strongly consider moving up my “buy a home sometime in the next few years idk” plans.

you can’t activate Nicollet just by relocating buses. It’s a drab expanse of concrete right now. without any major design changes, moving bus riders will make it feel even emptier. the mall needs to be more inviting, colorful, smaller-scale.
