I think they were worried about TikTok influencing people _not_ to elect Donald Trump. Or more probably, convincing them that for-profit health care is bad.

I'm very excited to buy bread for cheap in Canada because grain farmers can't get their wheat to their traditional American markets because Trump's tariffs will have driven demand down!
