Cozy little squares.

Arranging spaces for tiles on a map. This was oddly satisfying and now I want to make a puzzle game that's just placing tiles on an irregular map.

We’ve all seen “Dogs playing poker” but this breed needs something more sophisticated, like Civolution.

Really enjoying Neko Syndicate, a game about yakuza cats who make sushi. Wonderful artwork and really clever gameplay.

There are interpolating subds. Look up “butterfly” subdivision. It was tried but they’re harder to model with in practice, the interpolated points cause pinching, and catmull-Clark has nice properties like maintaining quads.

Typescript is nice because it automatically highlights whatever part of the code you're working in currently, so it's easy to find your place.

Having a lot of fun with "Fantasy Map Maker" which is sort of a roll-and-draw from Doopy Games. I got caught up in the worldbuilding, started "cheating" a bit and didn't even bother to score it. 😃 Then I had to color it in real quick.

Exciting day at work today. I'm in NYC for the launch event for the tool we've been working on. It's a modern CAD tool in the browser, built with Rust and TS. We're gonna livestream some of the launch events and stuff. Wish us luck!

Can anyone help? I’m stuck on this puzzle in Blue Prince.

Create a "new multi-channel layer", set the layer color to white, then "add mask > mesh mask painting" and paint. Or just add a "multi channel brush" layer (which is RGB+PBR) but you can just paint black and white and ignore the PBR channels.

Ok, done with my LDJAM sonar boat game. If you're curious you can check it out here (web playable): ldjam.com/events/ludum...

Sonar scan is working. Can you spot the tire?

OK, finally have an idea for my LDJAM game. You boat around and run a sonar scan, trying to find interesting objects.

Got out on the bike again for the first time in a while.

This is the only kind of fascism I want to see more of. (Playing “Power Vacuum” the trick taking game about authoritarian appliances)

My AI just beat me at Connect 4, this is the first step toward self-awareness.

Some more variations with different seeds, and improved the wall drawing a little bit. #Nodevember "Orc Temple"

"Orc Temple" for #nodevember day 3-4. This time using InstaMAT, an attempt to make a hand drawn D&D style map of an Orc Temple.

Day 1-2 #Nodevember "Alchemist's Lab". Kind of a Geometry Nodes warm up and couldn't really figure out a good way to do this how I wanted but I got it done with brute force of will. The topics list looks challenging! #blender

My #LDJAM game is complete! Came out pretty playable this time, try to reach 500+ points in 20 rounds. Web/windows builds at ldjam.com/events/ludum... love to hear what people think!
October 7, 2024 at 10:03 PM
Ok, got the basic game loop sorta working for my #LDJAM game. Still needs more feedback so you can tell what's going on and many, many more critters but it's a good start.

Got a decent start for my #LDJAM game for the "Tiny Creatures" theme. Will probably post more updates on mastodon but i'll try and post the highlights here.
