Yup! This one is Darrell Sweet but I have several of the calendars and they have different artists. One is Rowena Morrill. Can't recall the others.

Ahhhh! I recently finished The House on the Borderland by him and while it wasn't the type of book I normally read, it was a fairly easy read. Not like that appears to be!

Grapes of Wrath has the same interwoven mini-snapshots of life throughout that reminded me of this book. I am not familiar with the USA trilogy.

Played so much Bubble Bobble as a young person at the local rec center arcade. Never really got that far in it but always enjoyed it
