Between my company and my contributions, about 30k annually goes to pay for health insurance for my family. Just turn that into a universal HC tax. No additional money out of anyone's pocket, it just goes to a better outcome.

Yeah, that's the real bummer. Cali is going to be split up regardless, so maybe: Cascadia and So. Cal, then SJ/SLC/Colorado+Texas three.
