I got absolutely rinsed in the comments of this article for this opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

What. A. Half.

-Marmoush benefitting from attention Haaland and Savio are drawing. Clubs won’t be able to double and triple up these players without consequence
-Nico looking comfortable in possession AND he’s holding his position perfectly
-Rico playing his role to perfection

Feels like the most likely scenario this summer is:

-One of Ortega/Ederson move on (likely the latter to Saudi)
-One of Ake/Akanji/Stones go along with Walker (could see JSP sold too)
-Three of Kev/Gundo/Bernardo/Nunes/McAtee leave
-Grealish's time is up

Thoughts?

Genuinely wouldn’t shock me if Khusanov starts at Chelsea.

Imagine Gvardiol Dias Akanji Lewis play tomorrow. Don’t see a scenario where Dias/Akanji play 3 games in a week, Ake isn’t fit & JSP hasn’t been trusted as a starter to date.

Gvardiol Khusanov Stones Lewis wouldn’t shock me at the weekend

Holy succession planning.

Could very well be

Akanji -> Bah
Ake -> Kusanov
Walker -> Cambiaso
Stones -> Reis

Obviously not a lock on these players but what a sign of intent from the club
BREAKING: #ManCity are set to sign Real Valladolid centre-back, Juma Bah. The plan for the 18-year-old could include a loan to RC Lens.

If it were up to me this would be my XI tomorrow.

4 CB lineup is always strong against a very good Brentford attack (especially at home)

O’Reilly offers some much needed physicality and pace in midfield

Goals and creativity across the entire front line

I’m sorry but this eleven have more than enough quality to beat Leicester. Up to the players now to pull themselves up and get a result

I have a dream for the next 2 windows:

-Average age of the defense shown Is 23 (with JSP sticking around too)
-Gundo sticks around as midfield/F9 depth
-Marmoush comes in to provide additional goals from LW/9
-Rodri cover/partner in Zubi
-Long term Ederson replacement in Costa

Would be intrigued with this XI tomorrow

Ederson
Lewis Akanji Dias Gvardiol
Gundo Nunes
Grealish
Savio Haaland Doku

If KDB can start would like him at the 10 and Jack LW.

Ederson and Gvardiol dropped is quite the statement from Pep. Would have always preferred Ake vs Salah anyways, but Ederson had a great season prior to Feyenoord. Big call

To think Pep had 7 years between giants Barcelona and Bayern Munich and will now do a minimum of ELEVEN at little ole City… my goodness.

City 4 in a row doc is absolutely brilliant start to finish. Arguably their best yet.

Puts the Netflix one to shame too, best to keep things in house

1+1 you say? Is this to let him walk summer 2026 without media hounding all season? To give city a fallback if they can’t identify the right successor? Or just to allow pep flexibility?

Either way, the need for a squad overhaul remains and no better manager to have at the helm.

Rodri aside, if you could give one City player who is currently injured a clean bill of health for the season, who would you pick?

Rico Lewis returned a 100% pass success rate in England’s 3-0 win over Greece tonight. 💯

If wholesale changes are coming in the next 2 windows, I don't see how this squad isn't achievable by the start of next season. Echeverri/Doyle already are "on the books", Zubimendi (or possibly Ederson/Ricci) as the January signing and then Branthwaite, Geertruida, Sarr and Marmoush in the summer.

Really any of the Umbro but if I had to choose… I’d say 09-10 third kit but the home kit that year was a close 2nd

I’ve decided to start posting on here and on Threads given the general dissatisfaction with Twitter.

If there’s a way of sharing this (like a RT on the other place) I’d really appreciate it.

If you want a follow back, just give me a shout too. ❤️
