Really good news out of the White House. I know things seem like they're more expensive, but our President just announced that inflation has. been. defeated. Huzzah!
Trump says inflation is 'defeated' and the Fed has cut rates, yet prices remain too high for many
Inflation has risen in three of the last four months and is slightly higher than it was a year ago, when it helped sink then-Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign. Trump told the United...

Does the American Dream Now Cost $5M like one recent USA Today publication says? Sure...or it doesn't, depending on your goals. However, you CAN easily make that a MUCH smaller number if you're mindful about spending. $900k on cars can be cut in HALF. College costs can dramatically decrease as well.

Is 3k podcast episodes a week a good idea? It also seems like our discoverability problems + people having to sort through horrible shows to find a good one hurts us all.
Exclusive: an interview with Jeanine Wright of Inception Point AI, about how they’re making more than 3,000 podcast episodes a week with AI. Plus, a new podcast awards for Ireland, how AudioAlways works, and opinions on the week’s news that aren’t anyone else’s.

What happened to Call My Agent on @netflix.com? I loved that show and was just digging into the final season. By all accounts it was a big success…so not sure why it’s gone.

I'm going to see Matthew Tarr from Qube Money at FinCon next week and we'll get some audio with him updating the situation.

Interesting times for budgeting app Qube Money (an app we've recommended, especially for beginner budgeters). Their banking partner agreement collapsed, BUT rather than fold, they're rolling out Qube Plus, with benefits many have asked for: the ability to use "qubes" with other banks & credit cards.

Stacking Adventures podcast is one year old! Thanks to everyone who shared their story on the show. Year one included our national parks, Paris, Greece, Peru, Italy, Americana, New Orleans, Chicago, Scotland, Ireland, how to pack, and playing the points game. What's in store for year 2?

I'm excited by the data showing over 2M Americans have a net worth of $10M or more. That's far more than I'd previously thought, meaning there are would be 40k in your state (if divided equally). We're surrounded by people with $10M. Is $10M the new $1M?

Headed to see the F1 movie today...I'll let you know how it goes. Reviews from friends = fun (but long) film...but not a "great" movie.

When trying to make better money decisions don't start with "what's optimal." There is no such beast as "optimal." Begin instead with "what do I want to achieve?" If you begin this way, you're far less likely to be disappointed when you need $$$. It'll always be in the right place at the right time.

The role of money in theaters: I loved the themes in Materialists, but marketing it as a "romcom" is GROSS mislabeling. This is deep commentary on how much dating culture sucks. Also - still not sure how Dakota Johnson gets acting jobs. The script saves the film, though. 7/10

Sadly, back when my money situation sucked, calling trillions of new debt "beautiful" never got me out of trouble with the people I owed serious cash.

Good to see big budget movies coming back. Both Thunderbolts and Mission Impossible were really fun romps. Solid 8 for Thunderbolts and 7.5 for MI.

How do you measure success with money? The concept of "free cash flow" is a key indicator of both corporate and personal financial health. If your budget is tight, much like a cash-strapped company, it's easy to get into trouble when the first financial storm hits.

Jamey has been a guest on our show. Here's how tariffs affect a small business (board game publisher). Very fact-based, non-emotional argument about what will happen to his company and board game companies in particular (and other small businesses): www.cnn.com/2025/04/28/b...

Frustration can be a fuel. Not happy where you are? Use that frustration to go do something to begin rolling toward success. It takes a ton of momentum to win, but getting there begins with a first step.
