Transformation often begins in moments like these—when people question the status quo, exchange perspectives, and imagine what could be.

So in many ways, by participating in this dialogue, you’re already contributing to that change.

Conversations like this, for example, are a vital part of that process. They might seem small or symbolic, but they help clarify ideas, build awareness, and lay the groundwork for a more cogent and actionable plan to change the way things are.

I think you’re on the right track with the idea of being the change you want to see in the world. It starts with identifying the world you want to create—what values, systems, and realities you believe should define it. Once identified you can work backward, beginning with the end in mind.

The issue isn’t the amount of the increase. It’s the lack of transparency on where the money is going. The county has seen an increase in property tax revenue due to increased home values and new home construction. People at the meeting wanted answers but the counsel wouldn’t answer any questions.

It does affect the writing experience. It makes it better! The ritual of refilling the pen directly from the ink bottle is much more fun than just changing a cartridge. Even if you do refill them. Being able to see the ink level on this pen also is awesome improvement.

I’ve had a Brass Kaweko Sport as my everyday pen for a couple of years. I bought this one a few months back and love the additional ink capacity that it offers over the cartridges for the other Sports.
