I’m really digging Mira Grant / Seanan McGuire’s new novel Overgrowth.

It’s *very* McGuire and feels like a successor to Newsflesh. Overgrowth is a different sort of book, but, like, it tracks that the same person wrote them.

Basically it’s my gross, uncomfortable comfort read.

I truly dug Breath of Oblivion. It’s chock full of adventure and dealing with shit, but it very much has the middle book thing where it doesn’t so much end as it does set up the next / presumably concluding book.

Next up: The Breath of Oblivion, by Maurice Broaddus. It’s the follow up to 2022’s excellent Sweep of Stars. It’s a bold and ambitious space opera. Absolutely a series to check out.
